If you have a strong desire about any newborn procedure, be sure you mention it when you arrive, and remind them again just before delivery.
Nurses give the baby his or her first bath in the LDR room shortly after delivery. If this is something you want to avoid, please mention it in your birth plan and again to the nurse after the baby is born.
